Hurricane Countdown?

On ABC they just did a countdown of the top ten dangers after a hurricane, complete with visual effects, sirens and artsy footage. I think they’re missing the point. Shouldn’t production values be the least of everyone’s worries? Don’t they need to get information out fast and not worry about ratings?
